My name is Audrey Tang, I love sharing stories through pictures, on each sheet of paper there are multiple little stories, whether it is with humans or animals. When I create, I always make my characters talk, even without words. Whenever I draw, I feel free and joyful, I could do and express whatever I want.
I started drawing at 2 years old, and I never stopped since. My mom bought me lots of paper and supplies to create. I also do digital art, I am not very good at it yet.
I often visit art museums for inspirations. I dont like copying other because I think it is better to create my own. I hope whenever someone sees my artwork they feel the same, free and joyful.

Artistic Vision

Audrey loves telling stories through her art. Her works are full of whimsy and emotion—each painting is like a small world, filled with her thoughts, feelings, and everyday moments. She hopes her art can bring warmth and joy to others, and that viewers can find their own imagination and connection within her creations.

Creative Style

Audrey’s artwork is rich in intricate details—every part of her drawing feels like a self-contained, story-filled scene. No matter which corner you focus on, it’s full of vivid and meaningful content. She skillfully weaves emotional connections and interactions between characters within a warm and humorous atmosphere, giving each piece depth and charm. Her work reflects a delicate and imaginative inner world that invites viewers to look closer and discover more.

Artistic Journey

Audrey began her artistic journey at just 18 months old, when she first drew a human face. Her first art teacher, Chinese-American artist Ms. Lu Huicheng, always encouraged her to create freely and imagine boldly, instead of following traditional training methods. As a result, Audrey has not undergone formal technical instruction but has remained committed to originality—never copying others or repeating herself.
At age five, she participated in her first youth art exhibition. At nine, she held her first solo exhibition in New York, initiated by Ms. Lu and curated by renowned curator Mr. Hao Qing song. In 2024, at age ten, she joined the “Firefly” Youth Charity Art Exhibition. Now at eleven, from June 21 to July 21, 2025, she will host her second solo show “Once Upon A Paper” at the Light Space Gallery of the International Art Museum of America In San Francisco. These meaningful experiences have strengthened her passion for art and inspired her to keep exploring new ways of expression.

Inspiration Sources

Audrey loves observing, reading, and daydreaming. Her artworks often feature animals, plants, starry skies, and fantastical characters and settings. Her inspirations come from daily life, travel, books, and her own vivid imagination, bringing her storytelling-rich illustrations to life and touching people’s hearts.

Community Engagement

Beyond creating art, Audrey is also passionate about giving back. She sells prints of her artwork online and at art markets, and donates part of the proceeds to nonprofit art organizations, charities, and animal welfare groups. She believes that even as a young artist, she can bring a little kindness and change to the world through her work.
